  • Optimization of existing packaging solutions regarding material usage, sustainability, cost efficiency, and manufacturability
  • Creation of technical documentation, such as specifications, packaging instructions, test reports, CAD drawings, and bill of materials
  • Collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and external suppliers, to integrate packaging solutions seamlessly into product development and manufacturing
  • Supplier management, including evaluation of new materials, coordination with converters, packaging manufacturers, and logistics partners
  • Support in project planning, including risk assessments, cost evaluations, and timeline management for packaging-related work packages
  • Continuous improvement through analysis of failures, customer feedback, and process data to enhance packaging performance and reliability

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a comparable technical field
  • Relevant professional experience in packaging engineering, ideally in a regulated or technically demanding industry (e.g., medical, industrial, electronics, or consumer goods)
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with packaging materials such as corrugated board, foams, plastics, and sustainable alternatives
  • Experience with testing standards (ISTA, ASTM, DIN/ISO) and validation processes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, paired with the ability to work hands-on in labs, testing environments, and on the production floor
  • Clear and structured approach to documentation and technical communication
